Message from our founder

Thank you for the many contributions. We rely on the kindness of animal lovers to donate money for care givers, utilities, veterinary visits, food, cleaning supplies and other necessities required when operating an animal rescue sanctuary. ABC has a no-kill policy and we place every single animal that comes to the sanctuary in a home appropriate for the pet's needs as well as the adoptive family's needs.

We would be thrilled to have you come out and visit with us at this very happy place because it is designed and operated through the eyes of our animal guests.

ABC'S Vision

The Animals Benefit Club of Arizona is the largest and only sanctuary in the far north Phoenix area. This area is now experiencing tremendous growth with many new homes and families at Tatum Ranch and Desert Ridge - all potential companion dog or cat adopters!

We have listed our goals below in order to let the community know what we are doing to improve the lives of our animals and neighbors.

Luna

> To safely rescue and adopt 1000 additional dogs and cats in the next five years.

>
To expand our Board of Directors with those who can help us gain new contacts and financial support.

> To pay off our mortgage in full.

> To increase our cash flow available to one-year's expenses.

> To establish an endowment fund to insure ABC's existence for years to come.

> To increase our Pet Partner Teams to 250 supported by grants and corporate partnerships.

> To work with and mutually support all rescue groups with respect for our individual differences.

ABC is a non-profit 501-C3 organization founded in January 1979 by teacher Dee Kotinas and her junior high school high-risk students. Our only source of income is through public donations, bequests and grants.

ABC's Sanctuary has become a model for other no-kill sanctuaries throughout Arizona and elsewhere. ABC has been extremely active in state and local legislation representing the rights and needs of animals and pet owners.

IF YOU HAVE AN ANIMAL YOU NEED TO PLACE FOR ADOPTION, please call (602) 867-2169 to be put on the waiting list. We take animals into our sanctuary as we adopt out, so it is impossible to say when we may be able to assist you and we recommend you list the animal with as many facilities as possible. Thank you.
