Can you volunteer in these areas?
> Socializing dogs, puppies, cats & kittens - help them adjust to adoption.
> Foster care for special needs - when an injured animal has been rescued and needs to be placed in your home for one-on-one care until they are back to health.
> Assisting with exhibit booths - to help set up and the booth when ABC is invited to various events as a vendor.
> Sanctuary Maintenance/repair - the sanctuary is always in need of carpenters, plumbers, electricians and roofers.
> Other miscellaneous activities - such as fundraising for various events, creating display art, type-setting, printing, handicrafts, baking, telephoning and bulk mailing/collating. |

Matching Grants
Many companies offer matching grants for donations made by their employees to a 501-C3 Non Profit Charity. ABC qualifies under any of these guidelines. Ask your company to match your donation. If they do not have such a program set up, you could suggest that they look into starting one.
ABC is also registered in good standing with the Valley of the Sun United Way Agency. Therefore, donations to the United Way (code #0681) may be designated to the Animals Benefit Club of Arizona. Please remember the animals and designate ABC when you give to United Way (code#0681).

Giving Gifts of Life
There are basically two types of gifts that people can make. One would be during their lifetime and the other would be a bequest at their death. Since ABC is a charitable 501-C3 organization, a gift during a person's lifetime would qualify as a tax deductible donation and would save you federal and state income taxes at their current rate.
If the donation is other than cash: for example, if they gave $1,000 worth of stock having a cost of $100, they would get a deduction for a full $1,000 and have to pay capital gains tax on top of the tax savings for the $1,000 donation.

There are other forms of lifetime giving that can provide advantages to an individual. These usually involve larger sums of money such as providing a charitable remainder trust or other similar documents where the individual receives income from the investment for their lifetime, and upon their death the remaining is given to the charity.

Bequests in a Will or Trust
A bequest by an individual in his/her will or trust will be a deductible item on his/her estate. There is a tax advantage to an individual whose estate is currently valued at $6,000,000 or more.
If an individual wishes to make a bequest to ABC, this is a relatively easy procedure if they wish to make it in their will or trust. In simple terms, they state that upon their death they wish to have the personal representative or trustee distribute $1,000 to the Animals Benefit Club of Arizona, Inc. and give the address.
Sample paragraphs for more complex bequests can be arranged, such as where a husband and wife want to leave a portion of their estate to the Animals Benefit Club and yet retain a portion of their income for the survivor. Under these circumstances, they could spell this out in a trust wherein the survivor receives the income and upon his/her death, the Animals Benefit Club of Arizona, Inc. would receive the bequest.

Friendship Wall Plaque
Located in front of the Animals Benefit Club Sanctuary, the Friendship Wall stretches almost 200 feet. It is similar to the one on display at Yosemite National Park. In fact, ABC's Friendship Wall was completed by the same company (P.M.A. Photometals, Inc., owned by J. Michael Dywan)
Two types of plaques are available:
Standard Plaque - $50 each.
Special Raised Corporate Plaque (three times thicker so that it stands out) - $150 each
Each plaque is 2" x 4" brushed aluminum black photo imaged copy. If you'd like, you can select the location for your plaque and hang it yourself on any one of fifteen etched base panels.
