Annie lost her home when her previous family could no longer care for her. She's a beautiful, sweet, intelligent girl who adores people. She loves to give and receive hugs, and enjoys snuggling and curling up in laps. Annie is also an active, athletic girl who has a blast playing ball in the yards and does very well on walks. She also is an excellent passenger in the car.

Gentle Ben shows his "softer side" in his run, and loves nothing more than belly rubs! Out in the yard he loves to play, play, play! He is handsome, sweet, mild-mannered, and gives out plenty of kisses. Ben does well with other dogs and enjoys playtime with his friend Maia and strolls in the park with his pals Gorda and Sedona.
Benjamin Casanova Franklin came to ABC after surviving a house fire. He was treated in the hospital for several days and he has healed beautifully. ABC started his path to healing, but he's still missing his very own forever home. Could it be with you?

Clarissa was rescued from a neglect situation with her three sisters (all adopted). She is as sweet as molasses, confident, smart, very energetic, and simply beautiful with her tiger-like stripes. Corinne is a beautiful, exuberant, people loving girl! She was found running alongside the highway with no collar or ID. She really likes to sit in laps, and she really likes to run laps outside. Like many of our furry friends, Corinne loves to play fetch in the yards all day long. She's also very fond of her puppy pool, the hose, anything where she can play in water. Doyle was rescued with a painful infection on his neck where it had been rubbed raw by a tight chain. He’s a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you! Our extraordinary and intelligent brindle-coated Doyle is a sweet and playful young man who enjoys cuddling, belly rubs, and playing outside.
He and his good friend, Katie, went on a hike recently and he was a perfect gentleman with impeccable manners! Doyle is exceptionally well behaved on a leash, great in the car, and loves to go hiking. He enjoys playtime with his friends Katie, Finley and Gorda.

Gorda was rescued near death from neglect. She had horrible mange that devoured all of her fur and her top layer of skin. With intensive care involving a specialist over several years, Gorda has fully recovered!
Our little orange girl is incredibly sweet, and she loves to give hugs and kisses. Gorda is affectionate, very intelligent, and just the cutest bundle of cattle dog you could ever ask for! She is very playful and loves to play fetch, and also loves taking a nap in a lap… in yours! We recently took Gorda for a hike and could not have asked for a better companion! She is spectacular on a leash, great in the car, and polite and well-mannered on the trail. She has a fascination with bicycles - we can just picture her in a sidecar with her ears flapping, wearing doggie goggles and a scarf! You couldn’t ask for a better girl than our beautiful Gordie!
Gorda enjoys playtime with her good friends Sienna and Rufus, and also loves to hang out in a more low key fashion with her pals Ben and Doyle, and on the hiking trail with Luna. We've posted a few videos starring Gorda and Sienna and the girls and Rufus on the videos page.

Gunnar is an extremely handsome young man who can't wait to meet new people! He's not really into playing with his toys yet, but he loves to run around the yards with people, and he loves to sit in laps. Gunnar recently went hiking with his friend Sachie (adopted!) and was very well behaved on the trail and in the car. He's bright, alert, and attentive, and does very well on a leash. Like Selene, Gunnar is a little bit too interested in cats right now, but he may relax over time.

Katie is a playful little girl with lots of love to give. Sadly, she lost her home after her previous person passed on. Active and energetic, Katie loves people of all ages, other dogs, and, she even does just fine with cats.
Katie enjoys playtime and hiking with her friends Doyle and Zeus (adopted!). She recently went on a hike with her good buddy, Doyle, and could not have been more perfectly behaved! She is fantastic on a leash, wonderful in the car, and has impeccable manners. Katie loves to run around the yards with her human friends, and she thinks that laps are a wonderful place to take a break when she's done running around. She's a beautiful little cuddle bug!

Sweet Lacy was rescued by a good samaratin from an abandoned rental home where she lived for two weeks in the harsh desert sun without any food or water. She is a very bright girl who loves to swim, play ball, and go for runs and walks. Lacy does well with other dogs and loves people of all ages. Luna gets really excited when people visit, and she lets you know it! She’s actually a perfect little cuddle-bug lap dog in disguise who likes nothing more than curling up in your lap. Luna’s also fun and playful and loves to run around in the yard chasing after toys of every kind. She’s wonderful on a leash, and is the perfect size at around 50 lbs. Luna recently went on hikes with her pals Chaucer, Gorda, and Ty and was exceptionally well behaved on the trail and in the car.

Maia was rescued from the streets of Phoenix, scared and hungry. She's still getting used to being around people but has made incredible progress since arriving at ABC. A sweet and loving girl once she gets to know you, Maia is an excellent listener, is exceptionally smart, and loves to play ball. Maia is terriffic with other dogs of all types and sizes, and adores her friends Ben and Chaucer.

Montana is shy at first but is a very loyal and loving girl once she gets to know you. She is exceptionally fond of tummy rubs! Montana is a special needs girl with one eye and needs to be the only dog in an experienced, adult home. Her distinctive "ridge" of fur that runs along her back is visible in the top right corner of the first photo.

Pluto has a thick, gorgeous coat that you’ll just love to run your fingers through! He’s a handsome, highly intelligent and spunky boy who loves scratches, and will gently put a paw on your arm to let you know he’d like some more! He can be shy when meeting new people for the first time, but once he knows you, you'll have a friend for life. Pluto really enjoys sitting on park benches with his friends and basking in the sunshine.

Rufus is an extremely sweet, handsome, intelligent young man. He loves people of all ages, and has already learned some commands. He's a big extroverted ham who's fond of snuggling and playing with his human friends in the yards. Rufus also enjoys the company of other dogs like his best pals Gorda, Selene, and Sienna, and he gets along fine with cats. Rufus already knows how to sit, does extremely well on a leash, and is a very good passenger in the car.

Rusty is one gorgeous, hunky boy! He’s a total lovebug and a wonderful dog: affectionate, playful, and just a ton of fun! Rusty loves to play in the yard, and enjoys sitting next to you, or right on top of you! He is very sweet and aims to please, and already knows several basic commands. Rusty is excellent with other dogs of all sizes and energy levels. Rusty is very well behaved on a leash. He recently went to the park with his friend Princess (adopted!) and was a perfect gentleman in the car and on the trail.

Selene and her puppies Soleil and Star (both adopted!) were rescued after living on the street for months. Selene is extremely bright and affectionate, but is still somewhat cautious around new people. She enjoys quiet time and walks with her human friends. Selene gets along well with other dogs, but she's currently a little too interested in cats and likes to chase them. She's an excellent passenger in the car, and already knows basic commands like sit and stay. Selene enjoys playtime with her friend Rufus.

Sienna is our caramel colored girl who's sweeter than chocolate! She loves people and playtime and has loads of energy. She's equally fond of snuggling, playing vigorously in the yards, and going for long walks in the park. Sienna is a wiry, athletic girl who wags her whole body with enthusiasm once she gets to know new people. She is wonderful with other dogs.
